Rehearsal Matters
Since 2008, The Laboratory has interviewed more than 30 European theatre and performance artists about their personal experience and ideals for rehearsal processes. What problems seem impossible to solve and what are the essential conditions for a successful rehearsal process? And not least: What would you change if everything was possible? What would you try out if everything was allowed?
The interviewees belong to different groups and traditions within the performing arts – experienced, young, mainstream and avant-garde. Later this year The Laboratory will present the full, collected material – as a webbased knowledge bank on the website and also as a publication.
Rehearsal Matters is intended as a living, personal document consisting of questions, reflections, practical experience and inspirational dreams for theatre artists – now and in the future.
The Laboratory at Entré Scenen has existed since 2005 as a forum for performing arts experiments
