The Story of Daniel Ray

Forestillingen er en komposition af kendte episoder fra populære thrillere og TV serier. ”The story of Daniel Ray” er en scenisk version af hvad TV er, en parodi på hvad vi er vant til at se på TV og på film.

UMKA er det eneste objektteatret i Letland. Gruppen består af fire unge professionelle dukkeførere og objektkunstnere.

UMKA modtog de titlen ”Most Wanted International Outlaw Group” på independent festivalen I Helsinki I 2007.

The play is a composition of well known episodes from popular thrillers and TV serials. “The story of Daniel Ray “is a scenic version of what television is. It is a parody of what we are used to see on TV, Cinemas, etc.

UMKA is the only theatre of objects in Latvia- the main group consists of four young and professional puppeteers and artists of objects.

UMKA has been well received both in Latvia and abroad. On the festival for Independent Theatre in Finland they were awarded with the title “Most Wanted International Outlaw Group”. And “Show Your Face” was nominated for the Latvian theatre price 2006
